I&#39;ve typed many comments on your home-building posts, only to delete them at the last moment.<br /><br />We live just a couple hours south of you, in a teeny tiny little town... but we&#39;re building outside of town on our own land. And it&#39;s taking FOR-FREAKING-EVER.<br /><br />We designed our house (first on graph paper, then in Excel!) and it&#39;s been made into blueprints. We made changes, and now we&#39;re waiting on our building to re-bid the job.<br /><br />The kicker? We just found out our fourth baby will be here in SEVEN. MONTHS.<br /><br />So... no pressure.<br /><br />Our first house (which we sold in March) was also custom-built, but it took 3 months. We built in a neighborhood on a lot the builder owned.
