Throwing it all in, including the kitchen sink

So much happening, so much going on, life is moving at warp speed.

I upgraded my super-old Motorola back-flip phone to the Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket phone.  What a freakin' dream this phone is.  I knew I was missing out on a lot with my ancient dinosaur of a phone, but really I had no idea what I was truly missing.  I am in love with my new phone.  Also, I am becoming addicted to Words with Friends and getting my ass whooped by everyone I play.  That's OK- I'm slowly figuring out the strategy to winning this game!

Also, while we were out shopping for my new phone, we also picked up a Samsung Galaxy tablet.  No, it's not an iPad but who cares?!  It's a tablet and it's way cool and I wished I had more freakin' time in the day to explore all the cool things I know it can do.  Sophie and I have enjoyed playing Sparkle (yes- another game!) on it and she is quickly learning how to master the touchscreen.

I'm still running and lifting weights and I'm even contemplating running the 3M half marathon on January 29th, 2012.  I'm not exactly wholly committed to it yet because um, well, I have been so busy that I haven't even had time to map out my training to see if I have enough time to ramp up my running to be prepared for 13.1 7 weeks from now.  I did do a 5 miler one week ago and felt good....not great, but OK.  We shall see.  I'm just going to keep running, increasing my mileage week by week and see how I feel.

I'm definitely running the Zooma Half Marathon on March 31, 2012 and I just might be a mentor for the new Texas Girlfriends Program that they put together- shhhhh, more on that later.

Next week alone, between school and church school and adult fun, we have six Christmas parties- eek!

Also, because this seems to be the post where I throw everything in including the kitchen sink, I wanted to let ya'll know that in my spare time (HA!), I am hosting cooking shows for The Pampered Chef.  I know, I know, I don't have time for this BUT I love the kitchen, I love kitchen stuff, I love cooking and I love The Pampered Chef.  It was a no brainer for me and no, noone twisted my arm to sign on the dotted line- I did it on my own accord and have already made back all the money I put into it plus some.

So who wants to buy something?!!!!  I have lots of great gift ideas for the holidays : ).

Lastly, remember this blurb from a recent post of mine:

So where are we in this long home building process?
  • Phase 1- design a floor plan
  • Phase 2- design outside elevation
  • Phase 3- securing construction loan financing
  • Phase 4- break ground and let the builder run with it
Well, we closed on our construction loan this morning- praise the Lord!  We got the floor plan done, we got the exterior design done and now we have the money to finance the darn thing.  Once we get the final building permits from the county, our builder can start building our house.

You cannot even imagine the joy I have to be moving along in this process.  Soon enough, we will be able to actually SEE some actual progress.  As my girl Christy said today- you have a light at the end of the tunnel.  More like a freakin' spotlight- a beacon of fresh air.  Yippee!!!!

So yeah, that is what's been going on around here and then some- you know, that whole *taking care of 3 kids* thing and whatnot.

What's going on with ya'll?  Anyone else have the Xmas crazies or all-around crazies?

Yeah, I love my phone too (iphone). Didn't know what I was missing until I had it, and I know I don't use it to its full potential. I would love a tablet.

Good for you for keeping up with exercise. I'm a big ball of lameness, is all I have to say about that right now.

Can't wait to see house stuff!

I can't believe that with everything you have going on, you find the time for not one but two half marathons. You are amazing. So happy that things are moving along on the house. Good luck with pampered Chef. They have great stuff.
