OK, I have no outfit for you to comment on but I wanted a catchier title than *Looking Back*, but really, looking back is really what this post is all about. I've decided to go through the blog posts for each month of 2011 and make some kind of
But really, as I go back through my old posts, I've realized that I write about three things.
Food. Family. Running.
Are they related? Separate but equal? Where do I spend my most time?
Hold on tight. Here we go- wheeeee!!!!!
In January, I wrote a Dear Self letter. Reading back through that letter I wrote from my future self to my present self of 2011 was eye-opening. I accomplished some of the things I mentioned and had some detours on others. I ran the Sisterhood Virtual 5K. The post that got the most comments was the one was I asked folks to de-lurk and announce themselves. According to that post, I have 26 readers, lol. My favorite post was the one where I talk about how my bald spot was growing back in but that I looked like a rooster. It's worth the click-over, pinkie promise swear.
Oh hell. I'll re-post that *look* for you right now. Your welcome.
In February, Sophie and I went for our first run together- the best mile I have ever run. She proclaimed it *harder than she thought it would be*. I announced that I had been chosen to be a Zooma Ambassador for the Zooma Women's Half Marathon and I talked about whether running is really worth it....it is.Thank you.
In April, I ran the Zooma Women's Half Marathon with Christy. It was by far my favorite race that I've ever done, mainly because I had my best friend by my side. In May, I attended Fitbloggin. I partied like a rockstar, ran a 5K in a tutu and hung out with the lovely ladies of Shrinking Jeans. Pure bliss. Also, I turned 39 years old.....that means I turn 40 in 2012, EEK!
June was boring, and in July I decided to race a sprint triathlon that was only 4.5 weeks away and we took a beach vacation. In August, I completed the TriGirl Sports
September was more of the same. October was the month that Anthony and I dressed up as woopie cushions for Halloween
and I ran the Sisterhood Virtual 5K (again). November was the month that I decided to run the Zooma Half Marathon in 2012 and December was almost non-existent for blog posts!
There you have it- 2011 in review. Was it all you imagined it to be?! I'm looking forward to 2012- building our new house and moving into it, doing multiple running races AND some triathlons and mainly, living life in the present. Thank you so much for continuing to come back to read my drivel- believe me, I know it's drivel at times!
Happy New Year and I really do hope this outfit doesn't make my butt look fat.
