Life is busy right now and I just couldn't seem to carve out time for her.
She asked me to do it again this weekend.
I made the time to make it happen.
I am so glad I did.
I will carve out the time to do it with her as often as she likes.
She said that man, this was tiring. That her heart was beating so fast. That her legs hurt.
I told her to take smaller steps, to breathe in through her nose and out through her mouth, and that of course her legs hurt because she was doing something new.
We talked almost the entire time.
She said it was her favorite part.
It was my favorite part, too.
I told her how proud I am of her, that she is so awesome and that I can't wait to do this again with her.
Her name is Sophie. She is my 7 year old daughter. Today, she ran her first ever MILE, with me, her ever-loving mommy.

LOVE! Sam and Noah have started running and Sam is now ready to go running with David and I on short runs. We are so proud of him. And one of the coolest things for me has been how proud of ME he has been and how I am finally living a healthy life and sharing it with my children. Love the pictures... You can see her pride in her face!

Hooray for both of you! I'm getting C25K tonight to start running with some of my kids.
