Little Anthony, my third and last child
is almost 15 months old.
I still call him my "baby" and probably will for the rest of his life.
BUT
he is anything but a baby
and he is giving me a run for my money.
Literally.
Constant curiosity and inquisitiveness and determined-ness.
Always wants to be where he cannot BE.
Constant motion.
Walking, almost running, chasing, rolling, climbing, jumping
SOMERSAULTING.
Have I mentioned that he is into EVERYTHING?
Any unlocked cupboard calls to him to empty it.
Any open doors (mainly the bathroom) beg him to enter and splash in the toilet.
And today? The door to the pantry left open.
I found him tearing through a bag of tortilla chips.
Our Christmas tree is NOT safe from his path.
He gravitates towards it all. day. long.
Notice the emptiness of the lower half of the tree-
Oh, but this, this was all HIM, the baby, the wee one.
He is obsessed with his siblings' socks and toting them around the house.
Imagine my surprise to find a lone sock wedged into the branches of our tree!
When he is awake, which is more and more often now,
I am where he is.
He is where I am.
I cannot leave him alone.
With a face like this,
Why would I want to?

I'm going through all of that too, except my son is 18 months old. He's starting to pitch fits when he doesn't get his way by screeching. Definitely cannot be out of my sight! Yours is a cutie :)
Your Anthony is quite the charmer. My daughter is going through the same things as you with her little girl. She is 14 months and sounds just like Anthony. She's into everything and a climber to boot.
I love the sock in the tree. My son is constantly sticking stuff in the tree, lol. It drives me nuts.
Too cute!
Your tree looks like mine.
And girl, I know what you mean. I don't have one of those kids you can take your eyes off of either.
I need a nap.
Ha Ha! That sock totally cracks me up! Love it. And I love the smile on that boy. I want to kiss his face. :D I could do without the "into everything" stage but they're still cute even then...
How cute is he in that little vest! Love it!
That's your son with the tortilla chips.
I can't believe he's getting so big! I know exactly how you feel, too. I looked at Livers the other day and was hit with the realization that not only is she no longer a baby, but she really isn't a toddler anymore :( It made me so sad.
I had a huge baby gate around our tree for two years for just that reason.... ;) I'm too particular to let the kids mess it up.
So cute!
