My Real Life

I spend a lot of time in my car.  I drive a Toyota Sienna (that's a minivan).
I said "I am never driving a minivan".....

......until I had 3 kids.  Now, a minivan is a necessity.  I drive them to kindergarten, pre-school, playdates, ballet lessons, the park, doctor appointments, the grocery store and all points in between.  Aren't they cute?  Aren't those super-hero capes they are wearing just awesome?  Shhhh, come closer, those superhero capes were made by most awesome, talented friend Prairie Mama.  These  "super-heroes" keep me very busy.

Three to four times a week, I don these awesome running shoes and go for a run.  It is my addiction, my candy, my treat, my necessary stress relief.  I ran a 5K this past weekend and I have decided to run a Turkey Trot FIVE MILER on Thanksgiving morning with my husband.

Speaking of that husband, every once in a while not often enough, we get to do something fun, just he and I.  This past weekend, we went to the University of Texas Longhorns football game- Go Horns Go!

I am a very social person.  Given our current living situation, I have to bring the party to me at times.  That is exactly what I am doing tonight.  Here are some of the pre-party preparations going on.  More on this later......

But what I seem to spend most of my time doing are things like this:  folding mounds and mounds of laundry.  Laundry for 3 kids and myself is the BANE of my existence.
And THAT, folks, is my real life.

Yea running! Good luck on Thanksgiving. Think how good that food will taste, knowing you started the day with a five mile run!

I would love to drive a mini-van since we are about to upgrade to a 12-passenger! It seems so huge. But with six kids (in May anyway) it is the most practical solution.

I hope those superheroes use some super powers to help with the laundry!

I love that you are running now. As soon as I get back into the swing of things we can cheer each other on! I want to run again SO BAD but my body is not quite ready yet...

And I SO need a mini van now! Only able to fit the seats in my CR-V b/c Ben is in a booster but I hate how cramped it is!

And the laundry... oh my, the laundry...

How did you get a picture of my bed, hooker?
Love your captures!

Well, hurry up. Those clothes aren't going to fold themselves ;)

And before anyone takes my comment for more than a joke, I help out with the laundry (whenever I'm at home).

LOL

I love my Sienna!!! Um, and those capes on your children? ADORABLE!! I am SO glad you all like them! Seth has been asking me when I'm making one for him ever since I made yours. Christmas for sure!

Um, your bed looks like mine, laundry, laundry, laundry.

My real life photos can't get taken because that's my real life, no time for pictures ;)

Oh the Prairie Mama goods, she's so great.

And I love that you're loving running so much, you're still inspiring me.

And yeah...the laundry. EW! (mine, not yours)

I always used to say that I would never drive a minivan, but now with two kids in my Ford Focus, I am BEGGING my husband for a minivan.
