2. Like, blog posts here. Blog posts there. Blog posts everywhere. I'm too lazy right now to link up on this so you'll just have to trust me that I am posting EVERYWHERE!
3. Nevermind the household chores that call my name (but I'm ignoring that call right now).

4. Little Anthony will be 10 months old later this week. Be on the lookout for a post all about him. It's short and sweet and all set to publish on July 25th. I have to elaborate on a few more items in regards to my third child though.
Like any mother, I think my child is BRILLIANT!
Just tonight, he pulled up on me and then let go and HELD IT for 1-2 seconds, THE STANDING POSITION. I am so screwed : ).
I am teaching him to clap, to wave bye-bye, to dance to music, to roll around on the ground.
He is teaching himself to climb the stairs, throw toys in the toilet and splash around, and he waits for "just the right moment" to dive into the open refrigerator or into any other room I keep closed away from him. Seriously. He will wait outside the bathroom door, while I am inside, and then as soon as I open the door, he darts in. He's a quick one, I tell you.
He is done with jarred baby food and we have now entered the world of BIG PEOPLE FOOD and he loves it, although he still gags periodically. He's still in "training".
When he is tired, he will rub his eyes or sometimes, he will lay down on the floor and suck his thumb. TOO effing cute.
He is growing a "baby mullet".

5. Sam, my middle child, is proving to be a delight now that he is 3.5 years old and it's been smooth sailing for a while.
I have probably jinxed myself now. Damn.
Anyhoo, Sam is completely potty-trained, day AND night. I am one of those fortunate mommy's that didn't have to do much in the way of training. I basically took my cues from him and waited until he was ready, which happened to be right after his 3rd birthday at the end of February.
Interesting tidbit of information: I have been buying diapers and cleaning poop since October 2003, WITH NO BREAK. Ponder that for a while.
Me: You are the best Sammy in the whole wide world.
Him: You are the best mommy in the whole wide world.
Me: Sam, what do you want to be when you grow up?
Him: I want to be daddy.
Me: Are you Sam, Sammy, or Sa-Ham today?
Him: SAMMY!!!!!
First words out of his mouth as soon as he wakes: Good morning.
Oh be still my beating heart.
As a baby, then as a toddler, and now as a pre-schooler, Sam is my lover of life....well, that's what I call it. He is happy, smiley, friendly, and just seems to enjoy himself wherever he may go. He is quick to laugh and he is the jokester of the family.
If I am admonishing Sophie for something, he just might walk by and whisper loudly "You a bad gurl" and it takes everything in me not to burst out laughing. He loves his Sissy and idolizes most everything she does. He is also VERY protective of his baby brother and gets quite upset when strangers (to him, not to us) are holding Little Anthony. If we have other children over playing and Sam perceives that child to be doing some wrongdoing to his baby brother, he makes it well-known that he is upset.
He likes to pretend that he is a superhero and will spend the better part of the day zipping around the house saying "I'm a SUPERHERO"!
He got bit by a fireant the other afternoon and his hand swelled up to twice it's size. His fingers were so swollen that he couldn't even bend his joints. It was freakishly grotesque and looked painful but Sam didn't bat an eye, didn't cry once, and resorted to using his other hand when needed. It took over 48 hours (and one pediatrician visit to calm my nerves) for it to go away. I wish I had taken a picture of his hand because there is no way to describe how freaky it looked. Maybe Christy can- she was here when it happened!
Sam's latest silly antic (but oh so endearing) is to kiss me when I least suspect it. He'll run up to me, kiss my hand, smile, giggle, zip around the room, and then kiss my leg, smile, giggle, zip around the room, then kiss my cheek and on and on and on. It is so cute!!!!!

6. Sophie, Sophie, Sophie........I can't leave her out and I really really really want to say wonderful things about her because she is truly the BEST big sister ever......and she is smart, and beautiful and silly and tan and teaching herself how to swim and can do 100 piece puzzles with her eyes closed and is teaching herself how to draw and she loves ballet and watching Disney's movie "Bolt".
HOWEVER, she is 5 going on 13 some days (like today) and the 'tude (as in attitude) is getting old. And the whininess and the complaining and the huffing and puffing and pouting are all getting old too.
How am I ever going to survive the puberty years?
7. I got my haircut on Friday. You know how when you get your hair done and it looks so awesome at the hair salon and you want to marry your stylist and take her home with you but she can't go home with you because you know, she has her own family to take care of? And then you are left to fend for yourself to try to recreate the awesome-ness of your new 'do? Well, with minimal effort, I have recreated the 'do and I am oh so happy!
9. I am wearing one of my new bras today and my "girls" are pointing in the right direction. LOVE.
10. I have begun the preparations to leave for Blogher on Thursday. It takes so much work to get everything "ready" for me to be gone.
And that folks, is all she wrote.

I have a Sophie, too! She is 2 going on 16. I am so in for it.
I got my hair cut a week ago and every day I wake up and think maybe today will be the day I finally get it to do what I want. And every day, NO. Clearly I need a live-in stylist. Slash housekeeper. Slash masseuse. Who will work for free. Sigh.
Great job on re-creating the 'do!
And I hear ya on the 5 yer old 'tude. It's running rampant around here too! UGH! Yay that we get a break from it for a few days! ;-)
You and Sophie are more similar than you think ;) And for the record, I love your hair.
Your kids are adorable. And your hair rocks!! Got the flat iron packed!!
